Shernoff Bidart Echeverria LLP is looking for a full-time, experienced Firm Administrator in the Claremont office.

The candidate will be responsible for the daily operations, supervision of personnel, and business functions of the Firm. Work with Partners to develop short-term and long-term goals. Maintain lines of communication within the Firm. Ensure that the Firm’s policies and procedures are implemented and followed by all employees.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 a year
Compensation will be determined by a number of factors including educational background and experience.

Essential Job Functions
Personnel and Human Resources
- Recruiting
- Assess staffing needs
- Employee Handbook to ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintain employee files
- Oversee and manage employees
- Conduct employee annual and 90-day reviews
- Employee offboarding
- Coordinate employee schedules
- Review employee timecards/approve overtime
- Liaison with Firm’s business insurers
- Assist attorneys in renewal and update requirements to State Bar of California and Secretary of State
- Maintain current Firm case list
- Interact with the Firm’s outside vendors
- Plan Firm events and coordinate Firm participation in various sponsored events
- Supervise and oversee Beverly Hills office administration
- Supervises all employees.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent people skills, including written and oral communication skills
- Strong proofreading skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), legal software
- Customer Service oriented
- Works well in a team environment or independently
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Maintains confidentiality
- Demonstrates good judgment, confidentiality, discretion, and a proactive work ethic
- Time management
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail
- Understanding of litigation processes/terminology and workflow
- 5 years or more of prior office management experience required
- 2 years or more of experience as an HR assistant or similar required
- High School diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of law firm experience is a plus, but not required
