Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Schedule: Hours of operation for the office are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. Monday – Wednesday in office; Thursday – Friday remote.

Location: Calabasas, CA

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company’s financial processes. This position will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and corporate credit card reconciliations.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure all corporate expenditures are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Assist in the company’s purchasing and vendor payment process, including establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
  • Oversee the company’s corporate credit card program.
  • Complete annual 1099 documentation for necessary vendors and assist with annual finance audit procedures.
  • Perform Balance Sheet and General Ledger reconciliations as part of the monthly close cycle under an accrual accounting system.
  • Assist management with employee expense report processing.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies.

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • High school diploma or GED required; an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of accounts payable experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals, ensuring projects meet the stated and implied needs of both internal and external customers, while meeting quality and deadline expectations.
  • Prominent level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to convey information clearly and simply to a wide variety of individuals.
  • Ability to focus on and perform detailed work, synthesizing distinct data/information sets to provide insights.
  • Genuine willingness to learn, coupled with intuition, resourcefulness, and coachability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ensuring effective and efficient outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, with the ability to create, format, and manage spreadsheets.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information.

Compensation:

Salary range between $55,000 - $65,000 – may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on individual and the firm’s performance.

Compensation will be determined by a number of factors including educational background and experience.
