Kindergarten Aide
Position: Kindergarten Instructional Aide
Pay: $18.00/hour | Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
As Nazareth School – San Diego’s Kindergarten Aide, you will create an engaging, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and spiritual growth. This role involves implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with California State Standards and diocese Religion Standards, nurturing a love for learning while integrating Catholic values.
What You’ll Do as a Kindergarten Aide:
Support classroom teachers with tasks like supervising students, checking homework, and recording grades.
Facilitate small group activities, supervise recess and lunch, and assist with technology and assessments.
Coordinate hot lunch distribution, deliver meals, and maintain order during lunch.
Supervise students in Extended Care, manage check-ins/outs, distribute snacks, and communicate with parents.
Attend support staff meetings and communicate student concerns to teachers or the Principal.
What You’ll Need to Succeed as a Kindergarten Aide:
Experience working with school-age children (preferred, not required).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
A proactive attitude and ability to collaborate with teachers and staff.
A commitment to creating a safe and engaging environment for students.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
