Associate Attorney – Litigation (Pre-Trial Focus)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney – Litigation to join our growing legal team. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in hands-on civil litigation work, values direct client engagement, and is comfortable taking ownership of matters in a collaborative yet independent environment.
This position offers meaningful responsibility across all phases of pre-trial litigation, with exposure to complex civil matters in both state and federal court.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Manage and support a docket of civil litigation matters through all stages of pre-trial litigation
- Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal correspondence
- Conduct in-depth legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings (including in-person appearances as needed)
- Collaborate closely with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members in a professional and responsive manner
- Contribute to case strategy, risk assessment, and overall litigation planning and execution
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure timely compliance with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
- Active California State Bar license in good standing
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience preferred, with strong emphasis on pre-trial work
- Proven experience in:
- Motion practice and drafting persuasive legal briefs
- Discovery management and strategy
- Deposition preparation and attendance
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Comfortable with court appearances, depositions, and direct client interaction
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and organizational discipline
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team-based environment

Compensation: $150,000 salary, plus discretionary bonuses with a guaranteed minimum of $175,000.
