Title: Director of Elite Development

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000/yr

Schedule: Full-Time, Specific hours are flexible but you are expected to full your responsibilities  and be available as needed to meet operations requirements.

Location: Remote

The Director of Elite Development is a key leadership role at the p1440 Foundation, responsible for overseeing the Elite Development Program. This position drives the strategic vision, athlete recruitment, event operations, staff coordination, and budget management for all elite programming. From training intensives and showcases to tournaments and special events, the Director ensures high-quality experiences for athletes while supporting long-term program growth aligned with the Foundation’s mission.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the vision and strategy for the Elite Development Program, including training intensives, showcases, and tournaments.
  • Plan, manage, and execute all program events, including logistics, staff coordination, and on-site operations.
  • Oversee program budgets, track expenses, and support fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Recruit, onboard, and engage athletes while building relationships with club directors, families, and coaches.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote programs, drive registrations, and elevate athlete and program branding.
  • Manage college showcase events, coordinating coaches, athletes, and on-site logistics.

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years of volleyball coaching, elite athlete development, or collegiate recruiting experience.
  • 3+ years in event planning, program management, or operations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multi-day events.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with athletes, families, and staff.
  • Budget and financial management experience.
  • Availability for frequent travel.
  • CPR certification, ability to pass background checks, and completion of abuse and concussion training.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform standard office and event-related tasks.
